Giving my horse electrolytes?

Electrolytes should only be given when the horse is sweating a lot - not be given on a daily basis. You can and should give plain table salt daily, about one or 2 tablespoons, mixed in with the grain, but NOT electrolytes, unless your vet directs you to do so. Plain salt will stimulate thirst and thereby encourage your horse to drink.
