Is there a lot of action in The Sopranos?

i never watched the show but ive heard good things. i really like mob movies like goodfellas and casino so i thought i might enjoy this show. but im a little picky when it comes to shows to follow. i need action to keep me interested. it cant be all sitting around and talking.
