Is brown discharge after taking acidophilus capsules (vaginally) normal?

the brown discharge is not heavy...but odd and a little worrisome. i've been using acidophilus as a vaginal suppository for 2 nights now, and getting cramps that lead to brown discharge.It's not my period, i'm on the pill and in the middle of my pack (and i haven't missed a one!) should i stop using it?
