Adele or Teena Marie?

If u're not familiar with Teena Marie & her music please DON'T answer. I hear a lot of ppl saying Adele is like the ''new'' Teena Marie. Honestly, both singers r talented & have beautiful voices, but I believe Teena Marie is a BETTER singer than Adele - it's something about those high soprano notes she can reach & hold for long periods of time tht jus knows how to soothe my soul. Adele's raspiness makes her voice sound really nice, & her accent makes her sound unique. Since Teena died back in 2010, Adele has been a gr8 substitute soul mate for me. For those who are familiar with both artists, who do u guys think is the better singer, or who do u prefer most over the other?
