Can I donate a kidney for money?

If so, how much would I get paid? It may sound dumb but I have no real home, no family, no high school degree, or a GED so If I ever want to get my life on track I have to do something to make some decent money so I can find a place to live long enough to get a GED and possibly take my ACT and get into college. Besides if I can help another person out that needs it to live I'd be happy with that. I'm really healthy. The only thing I drink besides water is electrolytes so I can't imagine my kidneys being bad. Also I'm a smoker if that means anything in this situation.
