Am I starting my period? Does it hurt when you have your first period?

In the past few days I've been getting discharges with a tiny bit of red coloring. I think that may be blood, I'm not too sure. I'm getting really scared because I don't know what its like to have my first monthly. In the past few weeks I've been crying for no reason and having mood swings. About 3 months ago I started getting acne and a little bit of body odor not that much though. Sometimes I get cramps "down there" I don't know what to do! I'm afraid to have my first monthly because I feel like it could happen randomly like when I'm at my friends house! One of my friends started hers at school. Im afraid that will happen to me. Im sorry if I didnt make any sense Im in a hurry and Im freaking out. PLEASE HELP!
